This outlines the rules and regulations applying to Trackmania For Hours. Failing to follow the rules and guidelines precised here may result in punishment.
Be respectful and aware that any designated staff has the authorization to make final choices that may not follow these rules to preserve fair-play and sportsmanship during this event.
It is the participants' responsibility to follow the rules, updates and the staff will not be held accountable for any damages incurred by the change of event circumstances if said changes were announced publicly beforehand.
Definition
Trackmania For Hours (TFH) is an event organized by French association Gear Five. Teams race against each other for 24 hours on a track discovered on the day of the event. At the end of the event, the team which gathered the most checkpoints wins.
Registrations
All registrations must be done through the Trackmania For Hours website.
Team
Each team is composed of two to six players. Each team must have a team captain. If there is any issue, the team captain will be the point of contact for the staff. The team captain doesn't have to be a player.
Each team must have a name and a tag or trigram.
Conditions of participation
Any PC Trackmania player can register for Trackmania for Hours, regardless of nationality or other factors. Players must have the Club Edition to participate.

SERVERS TOURNAMENT
Server repartition
Admins will specify on which server each team is playing. Only teams playing on official Trackmania For Hours racing servers will be taken into account for the rankings.
Accounts and whitelist
Every server will have its own whitelist based on logins provided by each team during registrations. Last minute changes must be notified to an organizer.
Spectating
Only organizer, official casters and declared team observers are allowed to spectate matches. Any intruder will be removed from the server.
Streaming
Players and teams are allowed to stream their point of view. The only requirement is to put Trackmania For Hours or TFH in the stream title.
MAP
Mappack
The map is revealed on the day of the event. A thirty minute warm-up allows players to train before the start of the race.
To preserve sportsmanship and fairness, anyone who had access to the map beforehand is not allowed to play for the first four hours of the race.
Training
As soon as the map is released, the map is also released on a server in time-attack on the same version as the one on the official servers or in a campaign with the four versions (sunrise, day, sunset, night).
Moods
Following the sun time on the GMT, the map changes mood on a given schedule.
GAME MODE
Discord
All information and updates about the event are shared within the official Discord server « Trackmania For Hours ». Organizers strongly encourage all participants to join.
Schedule
A precise schedule of the event, including mood changes, is given to the participants at least 24 hours before the start of the race.
Start
All players start at the same time. TFH Staff declines all responsibility for any team's absence or delay.
Change players
While driving, other teammates than the one driving have a button « Ready » at the top of their screen. By pressing it, they are the next one to drive. The player currently driving can see it by pressing Tab to see the leaderboard or whenever they are on the straight line at the start. To pass the relay to your mate, the player can: double del, go into a finish or go to spec mode.
Each team is free to organize its relay between players as it wishes. TFH staff kindly reminds players not to put themselves in danger. If a player has been playing for more than 12 hours straight, admins will kick them from the server for 6 hours.
Organizers reserve the right to remove a player who would put themselves in danger.
DURING THE RACE
Chat
Any person on the server can use the chat in game. Players are asked to keep the chat for Trackmania for Hours related information.
Game crashes/disconnections
If the game servers crash, the race will continue where it stopped. If a player experiences a game crash or is disconnected from the race, organizers decline responsibility and won't give any compensation.
If one server crashes, all servers will be paused. The race will restart only when all the teams have rejoined their server. The pause might be deactivated if a recurrent problem occurs.
Cheats/Glitches
The use of any additional hardware, software, or any other external method to modify the game state is considered as cheating. The list includes but is not limited to: Multihacks, Speed hacks, TAS (tool-assisted speed run) hardware/software. Cheating is strictly forbidden and may lead to immediate disqualification.
Openplanet developper and school mod will not be available on the server.
Cuts
Any use of a shortcut or a different way, other than the one suggested by the track's author will result in a suspension. The reference for the official way is the GPS video released on Youtube at the beginning of the warm-up.
Intentionally leaving
Players are allowed to intentionally leave the server. In the meantime, the team won't be gathering any checkpoints and might go down in the rankings. Admins decline any responsibility and won't give any compensation.
Match-fixing
Match-fixing is defined as an attempt to arrange or influence, in advance, the outcome of a match, or events within the match. Participants, directly or indirectly, are not allowed to accept from or offer to, any person or entity (whether they are participants or otherwise). Players are expected to put forth their best effort in all situation.
Behavior
All participants of Trackmania For Hours are expected to behave in an appropriate and respectful manner towards other participants, spectators, and the organizers. Any harmful comment, harassment toward a player, a team or a member of the staff will be severely sanctioned.
PENALTIES
In the event of a breach of the Rulebook, the organizers reserve the right to apply a penalty against the team or the player, according to the seriousness of the infringement found. In each case, the team captain is informed of the situation. The organizers may impose the following sanctions according to the degree, severity, and repetition of any breach found, in the following order of gravity:
Warning
The player or the team is warned that their behavior is harmful to the smooth running of the event and that they must stop. In case of recurrence, the organizers may aggravate the sanction.
Temporary suspension
The organizers reserve the right to temporarily suspend a team or participant from the competition in the case of a repeated and/or particularly serious violation of the regulation. In case of the suspension of participation in the event, the team or participant will not be allowed to race throughout the suspension period.
Disqualification
The organizers reserve the right to disqualify at any time and without notice a team or a player of the event in the case of a repeated and/or particularly serious violation of the regulation.
Banishment
The organizers reserve the right to ban at any time and without notice a team or a player of the event in the case of a repeated and/or particularly serious violation of the regulation for a period of up to two (2) years.
Other penalties
In addition to these disciplinary sanctions, the organizers reserve the right to sue, as in civil and criminal matters, any person who has or has attempted to disrupt the proper conduct in particular by contributing to a case of cheating, fraud, or automated data processing system whether or not they have participated in the event.
